The Heath List hits again

Here goes once again. This time is about my opinion on the hottest ladies in Hollywood.

5) Salma Hayek

4) Keira Knightley

3) Angelina Jolie

2) Jessica Alba

1) Emmanuelle Chriqui

Agree or disagree?

So whats up

Ive been off work these last two weeks, you would have thought that I would actually get more work done on this thing. Unfortunately Ive been under the weather a bit and not really in the "bloggin" mood. Ive really done nothing anyways. Had a good christmas, got some clothes some money. I havent been to any movies at all with really nothing out worth watching anyways. My pal Jeff got me and another buddy into playing Yu Gi Oh. Yea I know its like a kids show on TV but the game is pretty fun. Gets a lil frustrating sometimes but thats all a part of the game. My Titans are in the playoffs with a first round bye and hopefully when they make the SUper Bowl this time they dont end up falling a yard short. Now time for me to find some freakin medicine to get rid of this crap thats buggin me. Wish me luck!

The best of times and the worst of times

Two of my favorite movies of all time. One is finally getting the sequel it deserved years ago and one is about to be detroyed by hollywood. A while back I found out that shooting had finally started on the long awaited sequel to The Boondock Saints. Everybody from the original are coming back with the exception of Willem Defoe. Hopefully, this sequel will be as good as the first.
The Crow is my all time favorite movie and has been since I was like 15. I used to watch this film at least once a month but now I watch it every now and again and every night before Halloween. Unlike Boondock Saints, The Crow has had many sequels and none of them have captured the true feel of the first. Every one has been more dissapointing than the one before and the last one was down right atrocious. Now word is leaking out all over the net that a remake is coming! WTH! A remake?? I can understand remaking older movies and reinventing them for a new audience such as The Day the Earth Stood Still, but the Crow just came out in the 90s. And it is an awesome movie to boot, why in the green spangled mountains of hell would they remake this movie? Most of the sequels have been rehashes of the original story anyway, why not just make another one and fail like all of its predecessors? Why try and ruin the original like this? Better yet, the director they picked out, the guy that directed League of Extraordianry Gentlemen. Thats the guy I want to make this travesty. That guy wouldnt know a good movie if it knifed him in the alley and stole his wallet only to find nothing but lint and crap stains. WTH are these people thinking. This genius says he wants to shoot it documentary style! Yea thats what we need. Someone needs to go to hollywood and kick this guys head out of his ass. Heres a link to the story that I found by accident on a message board. http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/?p=7452,

Critics are not always right.

One thing I cant understand is that when people start getting paid to do something, no matter how much they like it, they all start taking the fun out of that activity. Critics amaze me sometimes. Everything that ive heard about this movie was negative. Every critic I read all stated how bad the story was, the characterization was off and many other flaws as well. They all act like they are all conniseurs and love art house flicks and moves that honestly bore the living crap out of me. What happened to watching movies for fun? I saw this film last night an d I admit I have not seen the original so maybe that does influence my decision a bit. I liked it. I thought that the story was sound and they could not have found a better person to play an alien then stoneface Keanu Reeves. Jennifer Connelly did a great job playing the scientist that helps Reeves' character Klaatu understand the true nature of humanity. This wasnt the best thing Ive ever seen, but also far from the worst as most of these critics would have you beleive. There were a few things out of place and parts of the story that seemed a lil too much but they are not enough to take you out of the movie. I give The Day the Earth Stood Still a score on the Heath-meter of 7 out of 10.

You wont believe it!

At my buddies today, we were busy watching the SEC Championship game between Florida and Alabama. While during a commercial break, we decided to surf the channels just to see if anything worth watching was on. We made our way to Fox Soccer Channel and we noticed who was playing. A monumental match up in Italy's Serie A between AS Roma and my favorite team, The Chievo Verona Flying Donkeys! Only the 2nd time I have been able to cathc them on the television. Needless to say, we watched this game while the SEC game was at halftime and ultimately we were saddened when Chievo lost 1- 0. Now my hope that another 2 years wont pass before I get to see them play on TV again.

Babe of the Week 12/07 - 12/13/08

The gorgeous Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Never thought I would see the day.

Finally the Fulmer era is officially over. Im hoping that Mr Lane Kiffin here is the answer we have been looking for. One thing is for sure, we cant get much worse than we were this past year.

Boy was I wrong.

The Punisher: Warzone, was one of those movies that when announced, really got me hyped up. THe Punisher that came out a few years ago is still one of my favorite movies and a sequel was one thing I couldnt wait for. Once my expectations and hopes were raised, the news broke that this was not going to be a sequel, but a do over. It killed me. Once that hit, the news hit that Thomas Jane who I thought did an awesome job was being replaced and there were worries about the story and drama between all the people involved. Well, the night has finally arrived. I had told myself not to expect too much and try to enjoy the movie no matter what happened. Only thing I can say now after seeing this film, WOW! This movie is straight up awesome. Tons of action, lots of gore and a pretty good story. Not only all that, a fantastic cast especially Mr Ray Stevenson who played the Punisher this go around. There were some moments that could have been better of course, but nearly everything in this film clicked. From the opening scene with The Punisher dropping in at a mobster's house during a party with the skull emblem proudly displayed on his chest till the gory violent end. If you were a fan of the comic, especially during the time it was written by Garth Ennis, then this film is tailor made just for you. Its fun, over the top crazy and perfectly fitted with tension and mood. I cant describe just how much I was blown away by this film, especially due to my discontent coming in. Marvel has definitley hit another home run rebooting this franchise. While I still beleive that a straight sequel to the last one would still have been good, it will be very hard to top Punisher Warzone. I give Punisher: Warzone on the Heath scale a score of 9 out of 10.
